Growing up as the youngest of three girls, I’ve handled my fair share of jests, nicknames, and harmless teasing. As the only obvious identifier to the Irish roots of our family, I’ve become accustom to the surprise people have when they see my parents had one of each: a blonde, a brunette, and a ginger.
Being fed up with the witticism of my sisters remarks, I looked at them one day and said “watch what I can do with this”.
Since that day I’ve been GING.
My name is Jillian Whitcomb, a name I also use and love, but a name that doesn’t take the bull-by-the-horns quite like GING does. I’m known as GING to my peers, my family, my friends, and now you too.
I’ve loved everything about the design field from a young age and I genuinely believe in the power of design to make our lives that much more beautiful, that much more peaceful, and that much more fulfilling.
While I am known as GING to everyone colloquially, it has also become my brand. The main purpose: encouraging everyone I know to be bold with the spaces around them, and hence, with the way they approach their life as well.
So please, call me GING.
See it. Know it. Joke about it. Embrace it.
But most of all, don’t forget it.

During university, GING spent time studying painting, drawing, art history, and art criticisms in Aix-en-Provence, France. Her time as a fine arts student helped her refine her style into an elevated + classic approach. Upon returning home from France, GING became more known for her curatorial works- assisting the University of San Diego’s Galleries with selections for university spaces and in producing art shows of her own.
In her professional life, GING has worked on notable projects in the luxury markets of bespoke residences, boutique hospitality, and retail projects. Her exposure and involvement on works of prestige has enabled her to further refine her style and taste.
Curated Taste.
